Lake Atitlán is located in Sololá, Guatemala. It was nominated one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. It was the product of a volcanic eruption many years ago. Also, the color of the water varies between blue and green.

It is surrounded by beautiful volcanoes, forests and unmatched biodiversity. It is also said that you can see the national bird of Guatemala, the Quetzal. How to move in Atitlán?

The most common means of transportation is by Tuc Tuc (3-wheeled mini taxis). In them you can travel to various places in the city. Prices are approximately 5 Quetzales ($ 0.65 USD) per person.

The most common way to get around the lake is by public boat. This costs around 10 and 25 Quetzales ($ 1.30 and $ 3.30 USD).

You can also use the Chicken Bus. This is a means of transportation whose prices are between 2 and 10 Quetzales ($ 0.25 and $ 1.30 USD).
